…To the American packet steamer Sultana, which suddenly exploded and sank in the Mississippi River near Memphis on April 27, 1865? Estimates of the loss of life range from 1,450 to 2,200. Almost all of the victims were exchanged federal prisoners of war on their way home from Confederate camps.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in understanding IA
engineering and analysis throughout the system lifecycle to achieve
successful IA certification and accreditation for systems in a network
centric environment. The candidate will perform complex IA analysis, design,
development, and testing of integrated computer and network software.
Analysis will be accomplished for an integrated environment consisting of
Windows XP Pro operating system, Oracle database, .NET, Office, and
commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications and software products. Expert
knowledge of IA products and IA-enabling products such as PKI, VPN,
Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, etc., is expected. They will provide
IA analysis related to the design, development and implementation of
software operating systems for products including, but not limited to,
utility software, development software, network and computer communications
software.

General Experience: Seven (7) year of progressive functional experience
related to the technical areas included in Section C. Most recent experience
must have occurred with the past three (3) years. Specialized Experience:
Three (3) years of this functional experience must have included management
responsibility for large projects related to the individual's subject matter
expertise and must have occurred in the last five (5) years. Functional
Responsibility: Serves as a subject matter expert in areas relevant to the
project. Provide guidance to the technical staff on the functional
procedures/processes/policies reflecting detailed knowledge of technical
areas included in Section C. Interfaces with Government management personnel

DBMS, including all changes and upgrades. Provide a report to the TAO on

-Support the customer problem resolution process to resolve errors in
systems software which have been identified by the SMC. Report all findings
and determinations to the TAO for review and comment.

-Support and cross-train Government employees within the Datacom/Adabse/M204
team. The Government will pay for any necessary training materials.

– Support SMC Mechanicsburg efforts to establish assured computing through
the use of data sharing, SMS, and parallel sysplex among other techniques.

– Keep software and DBMS environments in compliance with the Security
Technical Implementation Guide (STIG). This includes but is not limited to
keeping software at a vendor supported version, applying necessary security
software patches within the required timeframe, and maintaining required
documentation as outlines in the STIG.

Craig Technologies has an opening for a Database Administrator located in
Falls Church, VA supporting the National Guard Advanced Information
Technology Systems (AITS) and the Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS)
that satisfies the office automation requirements of the Army Reserve
Component and enhances its mobilization preparedness and execution
capability.  RCAS links approximately 4,000 Army National Guard and Army
Reserve sites worldwide which in turn supports close to 10,500 units.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
The individual will provided technical and administration direction for
tasks, including review of work projects for correctness, compliance with
industry accepted standards, FTS standards, and user standards as specified
in Task Orders.

DESIRED SKILLS:
– Working in a CMMI (Level 3) environment a plus
– Army National Guard (ARNG) experience a plus
– Experience with Rational and/or Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) a
plus
– NGB-AIS experience a plus

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
 – Contingent upon certification of General Labor Category (GLC) which is
based on experience and/or education.
 – Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
– Nine (9) year of progressive Information Technology experience
– One (1) project must have occurred within the past three years
– Two (2) years in supervision/lead of IT projects
– One (1) year of this functional experience must have included management
responsibility for large projects related to the individual's subject matter
expertise and supervisory skills must have occurred in the last five (5)
years.
– Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in related field.
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, H.S. diploma and an additional 7 years of
relevant experience is acceptable.
– Formal accreditation in an areas closely related to the statement of work
may be substituted for one year of general and specialized experience for
those labor categories requiring a Bachelor's degree.
– A Master's degree may be substituted for one year of general and
specialized experience for those labor categories requiring a Bachelor's
degree.
