Of special interest are qualifications that could support our design curriculum. Class sizes are small and laboratories are generously equipped, including a 380-foot towing tank. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate is expected to publish scholarly work, play a significant role in advising students, and provide service to the Academy and the wider professional community. Excellent opportunities exist for collaboration with faculty within the department as well as nearby research organizations.

 

Preference will be given to candidates at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering or a closely-related field. We currently have an opportunity for a Network Administrator to work full-time in our Centennial, CO office and deploy our research vessels several times a year. Our two research vessels typically cruise Antarctic waters (and various other waters in the southern hemisphere) for 2-8 weeks at a time. On the Vessel -The Network Administrator will be responsible for installation, maintenance, upgrades, customization and administration of ship-board LANs and Data Acquisition Systems (DAS). The Network Administrator will be responsible for creating LAN & email accounts for users during the cruise, installation and maintenance of multi-platform Ethernet networks, the daily processing of scientific data for quality control, the production of data sets, and generally supporting the scientists on the vessel.

 

Headquarters – Supervises the installation, documentation and maintenance of software supported in all RPSC project headquarters-based computer activities and disseminates this to other CONUS LANs throughout the USAP. This announcement is for 7 x US Army Logistics Analyst positions within the Support Operations Office of the 402nd Army Field Support Brigade South (AFSB SPO).  Maintenance and Supply backgrounds are preferred and experience supporting Military Staff Operations.

 

These positions will support the 402nd AFSB's mission in monitoring, managing, and if required the sourcing of multiple equipment sets. Examples of equipment sets are the Army Preposition Stock (APS), Theater Provided Equipment (TPE), and Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles. Additionally, some positions may require support to Reset operations, theater retrograde efforts, and Operation Needs Statements (ONS).

 

These positions will be required to update numerous tracking charts, prepare and present briefings, and monitor progress and issue closure for the above mentioned programs. Individuals must be willing and able to work across multiple logistics functions and staff sections. Coordinate actions, taskings, and orders with subordinate and adjacent units as required. Perform a variety of other tasks as required by the Support Operations Officer.

 

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

•BA degree in Business Administration or related field. In lieu of formal education, 8 years directly related experience. Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail. Applicable specialized military experience can be used in lieu of formal post high-school education on a one year for one year basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

– Successful completion of Advanced Leaders Course/Basic Non Commissioned Officer Course (ALC/BNCOC)

– Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 11B, 11C, 11M, 11H, 19D, or 19K with experience in one of the following:

 

– Maneuver Senior Leader Course (MSLC) graduate or experienced Cavalry/Scout platoon sergeant, preferably with a HMMWV, STRYKER, or Bradley equipped organization

– Armor/Cavalry Crewman ALC or Armor/Cavalry Advanced Non Commissioned Officer Course (ANCOC) graduate and have experience as a tank/Bradley/HMMWV/Stryker platoon sergeant

– Armor Crewman ALC or Armor Advanced Non Commissioned Officer Course (ANCOC) graduate and have experience as a tank platoon sergeant, preferably with a M1A2 Abrams Tank equipped organization

– Armor/Cavalry Crewman ALC or Armor/Cavalry Advanced Non Commissioned Officer Course (ANCOC) graduate and have experience as a tank/Bradley/HMMWV/Stryker platoon sergeant

 

– Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the applicable doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures (DTTP)

Duties

 

•Receive, read, screen, and route incoming mail/correspondence ( classified and unclassified) for the Department Head. Tracks all mail/correspondence requiring action, and follows up to ensure timely and appropriate response. Determines whether correspondence should be brought to the attention of the Director or referred to appropriate personnel, or handled personally. Reviews all outgoing correspondence for accuracy, neatness and adherence to established format and policies.

•Reviews correspondence prepared by members of the Department for general compliance and adherence to policy, format, distribution of copies, proper titles and addresses, neatness, accuracy, punctuation, grammar and general procedures. Returns such correspondence to the originator for correction when not in conformance with known policies or when correspondence regulations have not been followed.

•Maintain the Department Head daily calendar using Microsoft Outlook. This includes making appointments and arranging conferences and meetings without specific prior approval based on knowledge of the schedule and Department Head's meetings by reserving space, setting the, specific time and contacting personnel. Incumbent transmits agenda and all necessary background material to participants and advises them of all topics to be discussed.

•Receives all visitors and telephone calls to the Department Head. Screens the calls to determine the nature and purpose of the call, and refers calls not requiring the supervisors' attention to other staff members or handles the matter personally.

•Establishes, maintains, and disposes of the files for the Department Head, Human Systems S&T Department. This includes coding, cross referencing, indexing, and record disposition and involves not only paper files but those files kept electronically on share drives.

•Type's letters, memorandums, and reports of varying length from rough draft or oral indication of the subject matter. Compose routine, nontechnical correspondence upon request or on own initiative.

•Arranges for the Department Head's travel, both domestic and international; arranges schedule of visits, secures travel and hotel reservations using the Defense Travel System, and prepares travel orders, vouchers and reports.

Fulcrum IT Services – Training and pre-deployment preparation will occur in Charlottesville, VA prior to initial deployment to Afghanistan. Duration of each deployment is a minimum of 6 months. Deployment is required for a minimum of 6 months every 18 months but additional deployment time is possible. Charlottesville, VA will remain the continual report location when not deployed.

 

Work as a member of a government-contractor team supporting the Counter-IED Targeting Program (CITP). Conduct all source fused intelligence analysis of IED networks to support counterinsurgency operations. Read and analyze message traffic. Collaborate with peers in the Intelligence Community to discuss analytical problems and production requirements, share relevant information, reduce duplication of intelligence efforts, and produce the most comprehensive intelligence product possible to answer a customer’s RFIs. All assessments and products will show evidence of consideration of all sources of intelligence data, including but not limited to: SIGINT, IMINT, MASINT, HUMINT, and OSINT.

 

Update databases on a regular basis. Conduct research using PATHFINDER and WebTAS (or related research tools).

 

Core hours are 0600-1800, however, personnel must be prepared to provide support 24 hour/7 day-a-week (24/7) crisis and operations locally and on other periodic deployments. May have to work in shifts.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Formal service training as an intelligence analyst.

Minimum of 5 years of all source intelligence analysis experience, including counter IED analysis and HVI trageting experience.

Prior Iraq/Afghanistan deployment experience.

PATHFINDER of WebTAS (or related research tools such as Falcon View or Remote View) experience.

 

This position requires a current VERY TS/SCI security clearance (no poly required). Candidates selected for this position will be subject to a background investigation, therefore US Citizenship is required.

* Inspecting modules and individual parts per Engine Manual, Flight Test Letters or other documented approved data.

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for commercial, industrial and military uses. Sikorsky helicopters are used by all five branches of the United States armed forces, along with military services and commercial operators in more than 40 nations. Based in Stratford, Connecticut, USA, Sikorsky has outlying facilities in other Connecticut locations as well as in Florida and Alabama.

 

Sikorsky Aircraft is establishing a world-class Maintenance, Overhaul and Repair business for fixed and rotary wing aircraft in the United Arab Emirates under a joint venture arrangement with an in-country highly renowned business partner. In support of this operation, Sikorsky is looking for an experienced Materials and Process Engineer. This person will be the on-site voice of Sikorsky M&P Engineering.

 

This individual will:

– Help to determine and define the materials related processes required at this activity including coating, cleaning, painting, repair, preservation, paint and coating removal, and other related activities.

– Interface with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality to provide guidance on all issues involving material processes and specifications.

– Assist in the evaluation of incoming hardware to determine applicability of repair procedures.

– Review and create procedures for Operations personnel use when processing parts and assemblies.

– Do appropriate research, and support and advise other functional areas regarding technical issues related to quality, operations processes, materials and customer support.

– Seek opportunities to reduce costs and increase quality and efficiency through the use of new processes or technology.

 

BS or MS in Material Science, Material Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Process Engineering.

 

– 5+ years previous experience in Overhaul and Repair Operations and/or in initial manufacture of military aerospace equipment (fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft).

– General knowledge of standard aerospace material production operations. In particular, knowledge of Special Processes and the ability to work with Operations and Quality facilitate qualification efforts for these processes.

– Knowledge of standard repair technologies commonly used in Aerospace O&R Operations.

– Knowledge of corrosion prevention techniques and coating systems (including paint shop operations).

– General knowledge of laboratory test and analysis processes to be used in support of issues involving part evaluation and repair.

– General knowledge of ACE and Lean Manufacturing tools.

 

This position will involve as much as 50% international travel for the initial year and 25-30% travel in subsequent years.

This position will be offered as L-5 or L-6 dependent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience.

In addition to the above, the candidate will be required to:

– Ensure that all regulatory requirements associated with this position are met to include but not be limited to the United Technologies Statement on Contracting with the U.S. Government, the UTC Codes of Ethics, and the Environmental Health and Safety Goals.

– Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to ACE and continuous improvement.
