DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

 

  • Development and execution support of strategic communication plans, including message writing, validation and insertion in communication products.

 

  • Professional speech writing support.

 

  • Internal Communication Support including professional journalistic writing and editing.

 

  • External communications support to include receiving and cataloging media and public inquiries, and coordinating responses with appropriate ONR/DON subject matter.

 

  • Publishing of quarterly ONR/NRE flag ship publication, including writing, layout, design, printing and distribution.

 

  • Web management support, including content management, social media support and web site improvement coordination.

 

  • Documenting ONR’s historical scientific achievements with foundational scientific linkages to current products/systems/operational doctrine.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Five (5) years’ experience as a communicator or writer in support of various unique, specialized organizational goals.

 

  • Must provide a two (2) page writing sample of a previously published professional publication or article.

 

  • Thoroughly familiar and proficient in the use of commercial software packages such as Adobe InDesign Suite, Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint.

 

  • Proficient in the use of Site Corp and Web Management software.

 

  • Excellent professional writing skills and verbal communications skills.

 

  • Demonstrate competence representing organizations of departmental, national and international interests via multimedia and face-to-face venues, such as print, broadcast and exhibit formats.

 

  • Working level knowledge of video streaming.

 

  • Ability to convey meaningful messages related to the organizational mission of scientific research, technology discovery and invention that leads to transition of the acquisition community.

 

  • Knowledge and experience with exhibits/displays for national and international event marketing.

 

  • Ability to effectively write, edit and publish newsletters and other publications.

 

  • Thoroughly familiar and proficient in the use of commercial software packages such as Microsoft Office (in particular Word, Power Point, Project, Outlook and Excel) and SharePoint .

Candidates with only M.S. degree must have military or practical experience in engineering design, operational, or survivability testing of military or similarly complex systems.
  • Candidates must have strong computational and data analysis skills.
  • Military or civilian acquisition or test experience is a plus.
  • Candidates should submit a brief cover letter describing applicable interests, skill sets, and specific abilities (upload as one single document with resume/CV).
  • Candidates selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information as required.

Kaman Integrated Structures and Metallics a division of Kaman Aerospace Group, located in Jacksonville, Florida, produces large aircraft structures and sub-assemblies, including sheet metal details, extrusion and machined parts.  Working from Manufacturing Centers of Excellence in the United States and Mexico, Kaman has the experience and capabilities to provide total aerostructures solutions to the domestic and international aerospace markets.

 

General Summary: Perform a variety of activities including but not limited to material handling, shipping and receiving, and packaging with a minimum amount of supervision. Coordinate workflow and monitor activities for one of more work centers in support of manufacturing and fabrication schedules. Work under the direction of the Supervisor, Materials.

 

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with cell leaders to monitor work centers utilizing work center dispatch reports, cell tact time analysis, and related material ensuring on-time start dates and completions.
  • Maintain effective liaison with other materials functions, manufacturing engineering, tooling and manufacturing as well as all operations support departments in order to understand and comply with schedule requirements.
  • Select specific components as indicated on work orders, make adjustments in database as necessary to maintain component traceability, and inventory accuracy.
  • Perform cycle counts, ensuring 95% accuracy levels are maintained per policy and procedure.
  • Load and unload various types of freight from incoming shipments. Receive and store incoming materials as required, ensuring database accuracy on quantity, lot numbers, expiration dates and any other pertinent information that may apply to associated paperwork (e.g. work orders, packing slips, bills of loading, etc.)
  • Prepare items for shipment; validate identifying information, count, weight, size and labels, as required.

 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

 

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of a specialized field such as production control and inventory control.
  • Proficient with personal computers, associated word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Must have strong oral and communication skills.
  • 1 to 3 years of broad specialized training preferred. Minimum of 2 years of production control or inventory control experience is required.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a valid state driver’s license in order to drive company vehicles.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

 

  • Provide program acquisition support to effectively assist the Government in delivery and sustainment of warfighting capabilities in support of the Air Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC).  These duties include:

 

  • Assess, develop, evaluate, consolidate, track status of and report metrics for responses for answering technical and programmatic inquiries working closely with the appropriate Division representative.

 

  • Coordinate research and analysis projects with the government and other external or foreign agencies.

 

  • Research, draft, and edit articles, speeches, and testimony on the Directorate, organization, missions, operations, and initiatives.

 

  • Review, coordinate, and process program information suitable for public release to industry, media, trade publications, international partners, and other program stakeholders.

 

  • Review all visit requests, distribute requests, and establish visit timelines.  Ensure all documents required to facilitate the visit are properly completed and staffed in a timely manner and in accordance with Directorate, Air Force and DoD processes.

 

  • Analyze and advise the government on various phases of the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution process as it applies to the administration and management of all programs within the Directorate.

 

  • Support the development of the Program Objective Memorandum, Staffer Day preparations, Spring Program Reviews, Investment Budget Review, Program Management Reviews, Mid-year Execution Reviews, Baseline Execution Reviews, Vice-Commander’s Forum, Financial Management Reviews, Acquisition Mission Support, Business Management Reviews, and other budget execution activities.

 

  • Assess program cost, schedule, and technical risks by segment and identify mitigation plans, consolidate and status program manager identified cost, schedule, and technical efficiency initiatives,

 

  • Establish a program office point of contracts list to accurately develop, maintain, and update acquisition reports to include, but not limited to; Weekly Activity Report, Monthly Acquisition Reports, Selected Acquisition Report, Defense Acquisition Executive Summary, Acquisition Program Baseline, supplemental reports for Acquisition Category I, II, and III programs, and other related acquisition reporting documents.

 

  • Support negotiations and technical interchanges with international partners.

 

  • Support the development and implementation of international agreements in support of Directorate requirements.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree.

 

  • 15+ years of experience performing cost, schedule, performance activities for aircraft and/or spacecraft applications in the commercial, industrial, and/or military arena, of which the last five years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of space programs.

 

  • APDP Level III in one or more of the following disciplines:  Program Management, Contracting, Financial Management, and Engineering, or PMP certification.

 

  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy

 

  • Proficient with using MS Windows and MS Office applications and software

 

  • US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Government clearance (Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to retain an active DoD Secret Government clearance)

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge in supporting Federal Government acquisitions and/or contracts.

***  Out for Blood – The pursuit of life for the wounded on the fighting fronts of World War II

Blood and plasma may be the greatest gift of the “Greatest Generation”-their life’s blood given back at home for the wounded on the fighting front. They sent more than a million pints to war! And we will never know how many men and women walk the world today – or will do so in generations to come – because the life of a father or grandfather was saved by one of those gifts of a blood donor during World War II.

 

A radio show called Life to the Front, broadcast weekly over WEEI, the Columbia Broadcasting System’s New England network outlet in Boston, helped keep alive the connection between the home front and the fighting fronts.

 

Each week the broadcast was dedicated “To all the men of the armed forces of the United States… who – on every fighting front in the world – daily risk their lives in the service of their country……that they might live.”

 

Out for Blood includes first-hand accounts of actual participants in some of the war’s toughest battles, and features actual scripts from Life to the Front.

  • Develop, operate, and present estimates for ACAT I programs cost and affordability models.
  • Collect, normalize and analyze cost and programmatic data.
  • Review of program office cost estimates, review and CARD documents.
  • Develop and analyze cost estimating relationships.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefing materials and other communications packages related to Independent Cost Estimates
  • Cost products including LCCEs, TOC estimates, ICE, and CCA.
  • Conduct risk and sensitivity analyses.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Operations Research, Mathematics.
  • 12 years of cost analysis experience including:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition programs
  • Ability to develop independent cost estimates and to evaluate cost estimating techniques
  • Knowledge of Economic Analyses, Analyses of Alternatives, and Affordability Analysis
  • Experience with Navy Cost Estimating
  • US Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and retain the designated Government clearance (Secret).  Must have an active Secret clearance.

Description:

 

Lead a team of 3-5 communication specialist in support of Naval Enterprise Networks (NEN) Program Office (PMW 205).  Candidate will develop communications strategies to engage industry in support of the PEO-EIS and Program Office initiatives to foster fair and open competition and to inform industry audiences of potential business opportunities. Prepare, write, update and maintain outreach and marketing materials that are used throughout all facets of the Public Affairs Program for PEO-EIS and/or the Program Office, and in particular used as part of the outreach activities. Responsible for the completion of several high level reports to include program reports to Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) and the Assistant Secretary of the Navy Research Development and Acquisition. Update of the Naval Enterprise Network New Hire Orientation Briefing and manage the monthly Program Management Review meeting agenda.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Participate in weekly meetings in support of program office requirements
  • Manage the development of a Strategic Communications Plan
  • Attend the Program Management Review (PMR) to take record meeting minutes
  • Develop/design and disseminate weekly newsletter, the “NAVY Networker”
  • Manage/write white papers as required
  • Assist in the analysis and implementation of conference venues
  • Prepare, write, update and maintain brochures and product fact sheets

Experience: 10 years’ experience in a professional environment, 5 years of experience working with Public Affairs in a DoD environment, highly desired.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

 

  • Provide Systems Engineering support to effectively assist the Government in delivery and sustainment of warfighting capabilities in support of the Air Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC). These duties include:
  • Support development of and evaluate/assess solicitation products such as work statements, acquisition plans, technical readiness assessment, contract data artifacts, technical requirements/compliance documents, evaluation criteria, etc. for technical rigor, adequacy, completeness
  • Assist in scoping, planning and preparing for conduct of system development and sustainment related tasks, integration activities, and products
  • Advise government on identification and assessment of foundational requirements (both operational requirements and mandated constraints) that apply to the program and system
  • Assist in evaluating mission concept and architecture products, mission analyses and studies, and foundational requirements to initiate systems definition and development
  • Provide integration technical inputs to the Acquisition Strategy (AS), Test and Evaluation (T&E), and Data Management (DM) strategy
  • Assist in performance of system and interface requirements management, control activities and interoperability implementation that cuts across the Operator/User community, Contractor(s), System Program Office (SPO) and other organizations
  • Establish and maintain a risk management process to identify, manage, analyze, implement mitigation plans, and track all risks
  • Support systems sustainment planning tasks, such as, mission analyses, requirements definition, functional analyses, trade studies, modeling and simulations, system integration, architecture development, test assessments, design reviews, survivability analyses and risk management
  • Contribute to engineering activities required in support of architecture views development, requirements development, design reviews and technical forums
  • Assess system modifications, enhancements, maintenance and advanced program and technology insertion plans to evaluate and report potential impacts on current and future systems, operational concepts and architectures

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, Business or Computer Science. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in acquisition and management of National Security Space (NSS) programs with at least five of those years in an information assurance or cybersecurity environment
  • Broad knowledge of SMC organizational missions and acquisition management, program management, contracting, budget/finance/cost estimation principles and methodologies. Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity instructions, policies and guidelines; logistics; systems security engineering and operational support planning
  • Proficient in the standard Microsoft Office toolset, including MS Project, schedule assessment tools, acquisition strategy planning and documentation
  • US Citizenship with an active DoD Top Secret Government clearance and SCI eligible. (Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain/retain a DoD TS/SCI Government clearance.)
