Sirius is seeking a Dock Master for a shipyard who is Certified/Licensed with extensive knowledge of NAVEA MIL STD 1625D. Must meet all of OSHA requirements for commercial diving. – Must have experience to operate and manage its floating dry dock. Responsible for the technical work in docking, rigging, hauling and undocking vessels, tugs, and barges, as well as, maintaining the integrity of the dry dock. Must be experienced in vessel docking plans and arrangements, alignment, and setting of docking support blocks. Considerable knowledge and experience in vessels’ structure, stress points, load factors, cradle positioning and dock support blocking. Must have knowledge in stability calculations and docking plan development. Familiar with ballast control console operation, tank level control monitoring and trim/heel transfer. Knowledge of environmental regulations, as well as, USCG regulations and safety requirements. Ensures safe operation of dry dock and safety deck margins are maintained. Able to plan, organize, manage and communicate well with others. Overall knowledge of ships is a MUST.

Manages contractor pilot service support contracts for Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) fixed wing aircraft systems.  Interface with support contractors on a regular basis to ensure contract performance requirements are met and all missions are supported.  Monitor pilot and flight operations services to ensure adequate qualified personnel are deployed to support high OPTEMPO operations.  Assist in processing contract requirements packages.  Coordinate with government mission equipment program management offices to ensure coordinated and effective efforts between our PM and theirs to support ISR operations.  Coordinate with the deployed unit Government Flight Representative (GFR) to address any concerns with ground and flight operations and pilot qualifications.  Advise the GFR on issues regarding compliance with AR 95-20, AR 95-1, and Service Guidance regarding flight operations.  Advise the government program management leadership on issues regarding ISR aircraft operations, pilot requirements and qualifications.  Provide subject matter expertise regarding updates to publications to include standardization of aircraft procedures and flight operations checklists.  Interface as required with INSCOM G-3 Aviation and HQ DA G-2 regarding Fixed Wing ISR requirements and issues.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 15 years experience
  • Senior Fixed wing ISR aviation experience required in a Fixed Wing ISR unit qualified in either RC-12 or EO-5.
  • Clear understanding of Fixed Wing ISR operations and capabilities is required
  • Experience with aircraft maintenance and sustainment is desired but not required
  • US Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and retain the designated Government clearance (TS/SCI).  Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.

The Naval War College Foundation intends to award one grant of $1,500 to the researcher with the greatest need who can make optimum use of the naval history research materials located in the Naval War College’s Naval Historical Collection, Naval War College Museum, and Henry E. Eccles Library.
