*** Out for Blood – The pursuit of life for the wounded on the fighting fronts of World War II

Blood and plasma may be the greatest gift of the “Greatest Generation”-their life’s blood given back at home for the wounded on the fighting front. They sent more than a million pints to war! And we will never know how many men and women walk the world today – or will do so in generations to come – because the life of a father or grandfather was saved by one of those gifts of a blood donor during World War II.
A radio show called Life to the Front, broadcast weekly over WEEI, the Columbia Broadcasting System’s New England network outlet in Boston, helped keep alive the connection between the home front and the fighting fronts.
Each week the broadcast was dedicated “To all the men of the armed forces of the United States… who – on every fighting front in the world – daily risk their lives in the service of their country……that they might live.”
Out for Blood includes first-hand accounts of actual participants in some of the war’s toughest battles, and features actual scripts from Life to the Front.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Develop, operate, and present estimates for ACAT I programs cost and affordability models.
- Collect, normalize and analyze cost and programmatic data.
- Review of program office cost estimates, review and CARD documents.
- Develop and analyze cost estimating relationships.
- Assist in the preparation of briefing materials and other communications packages related to Independent Cost Estimates
- Cost products including LCCEs, TOC estimates, ICE, and CCA.
- Conduct risk and sensitivity analyses.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Operations Research, Mathematics.
- 12 years of cost analysis experience including:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with DoD acquisition programs
- Ability to develop independent cost estimates and to evaluate cost estimating techniques
- Knowledge of Economic Analyses, Analyses of Alternatives, and Affordability Analysis
- Experience with Navy Cost Estimating
- US Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and retain the designated Government clearance (Secret). Must have an active Secret clearance.
